Their menu is a combination of down home, unpretentious but sophisticated palate: they cure all their own meats, and they bake the sourdough buns, pasta, and pizza from scratch. The carbonara had its own homemade smoky crunchy guanciale, as good as my Venetian mother-in-law's. From classic tomato soup and grilled cheese, to top notch burger, to Reuben with house pastrami...I've seldom seen such an alluring menu.
